Restoring teeth with composite resin properly can be very time consuming. A “filling” may take 30 minutes to an hour. Many patients are used to having their teeth fixed in a short amount of time. If a filling is rushed, then decay can be left by accident. If the tooth is not carefully built up, then the restoration will need replacing much sooner than necessary as it will detach. We do not use silver mercury amalgam fillings.
