Invisalign Faqs
How long will it take to straighten my teeth with Invisalign?
Each patient is different, and we cannot answer this question precisely without first seeing your teeth. The time will depend upon the severity of your orthodontic case. If you need minor teeth straightening, it may take between 3 and 6 months to straighten your teeth with Invisalign. If your orthodontic need is more severe, it may take 18 months. As an average, most patients finish having their teeth straightened with Invisalign within 12 months.
How should I look after my Invisalign aligners?
You should gently brush your Invisalign aligners with a toothbrush and a dot of toothpaste. Please remove your aligners to eat and drink anything other than cold water to avoid breaking or staining them.
What happens if I don’t wear my Invisalign aligners for 22 hours a day?
If you don’t wear your Invisalign aligners for the minimum 22 hours a day, you risk delaying your treatment. Regularly forgetting to wear your aligners will mean that you cannot move on to the next aligner in the series as your teeth will not have reached their correct position in time.
