How long do dermal fillers last?
As an average, patients will need another course of dermal fillers after 4 to 6 months. Dermal fillers for the lips should last longer. Repeat treatments will help to enhance the effects for longer.
What are the main side effects from having anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?
The most common side effect for both treatments is redness or mild bruising at the site of injection. This is from the needle entering the skin rather than a side effect to the dermal filler or anti-wrinkle injection and should quickly disappear.
Can I go back to work after having dermal fillers?
As long as your face doesn’t feel too sore then you can carry on with your usual routines. We recommend avoiding excessive amounts of alcohol and vigorous exercise for 4 hours after treatment. You should also avoid lying flat immediately after treatment and if you’ve had dermal fillers in your lips, you should avoid hot drinks for a few hours too.
